Human Edge Studio by SG+I — Spring 2026
Northeastern University | Boston, MA
In partnership with AIxEd and Elai, Human Edge brought together students from across disciplines to explore the opportunities and challenges of applying AI in high-stakes decision-making environments.
Working in interdisciplinary teams, participants used generative AI tools and a predictive AI model to evaluate a realistic decision scenario, assess model outputs, identify potential risks and biases, and develop recommendations for deployment, modification, or delay.
The experience challenged students to move beyond technical capability alone by considering human judgment, governance, accountability, and real-world consequences alongside model performance.
