Human Edge Roundtables bring together leaders and experts across industry, higher education, government, technology, law, workforce, research, and civic institutions to explore consequential questions surrounding AI and society.
Each Roundtable is organized around a defined question and a deliberately curated mix of perspectives.
The goal is not simply to gather people in a room. It is to create the conditions for different forms of expertise and experience to inform one another—and to understand what becomes clearer when they do.

Some Questions Require More Than One Perspective
As AI moves into workplaces, institutions, public systems, and everyday decision-making, questions that may initially appear technical quickly intersect with workforce, economics, education, governance, law, cybersecurity, ethics, organizational responsibility, public trust, and human behavior.
Human Edge Roundtables create a structured environment for people who encounter these questions from different positions to examine them together.
The purpose is not to force consensus. It is to surface connections, differences, dependencies, practical considerations, and questions that may be difficult to see from within any one organization or discipline.
How a Human Edge Roundtable Works
1. Define the Question
Each Roundtable begins with a consequential question where different perspectives can add meaningful understanding.
2. Curate the Perspectives
SG+I brings together participants with different forms of expertise, responsibility, and operating experience based on the question being explored.
3. Facilitate the Dialogue
Participants examine the question from their own experience, engage with perspectives outside their field, and explore the practical implications of what they are hearing.
4. Synthesize What Emerged
SG+I identifies themes, connections, questions, and practical implications that became clearer because different perspectives were considered together.
5. Continue Where Valuable
Where deeper exploration would be useful, the work can continue through additional expert engagement, a focused workstream, a subsequent Roundtable, an applied Studio connection, or another appropriate next step.
A Flexible Approach to Curated Dialgue
Human Edge Cross-Sector Roundtables
Human Edge Roundtables bring together perspectives across institutions, disciplines, and sectors around consequential questions involving AI, people, institutions, and society.
Participants are selected based on the question rather than membership in a standing group.
SG+I Curated Roundtable Engagements
Organizations may also engage SG+I to design and facilitate focused Roundtables around a particular region, stakeholder community, organizational priority, or area of inquiry.
SG+I works with the organization to define the question, identify the perspectives that should be represented, facilitate the conversation, and synthesize what emerges into practical insight that can inform future decisions or work.
These engagements draw on the same core approach while remaining distinct from Human Edge's broader cross-sector programming.
